How a cast works on this Ice Fishing listing
I have not shipped Pixel Fishing Quest from this skiff, and I have not played a build. The steps below are the loop the US App Store description prints, plus labels that are visible on the stills checked 14 October 2026.
-
Open from the title still
The first frame shows Start and Restore under the line “Made with love, for Luna and Lucas!” Restore matches the card’s cloud backup: a code that brings a collection onto another device.
-
Pick a map the card already names
One still is titled “Choose a fishing map” under United States. Indian River Lagoon (Florida) is open. The caption on that card says 50% of species must be caught to unlock the next map. Lake of the Woods (Minnesota) is shown locked.
-
Tap Cast
The lagoon still says “Tap Cast to fish!” The description calls the control tap-to-cast and says there is no steep learning curve. A bar along the top of those frames shows a worm count, a shrimp count, a coin count, and a shop.
-
Charge and release, as the fight still labels it
A later frame shows a fish on the line, a depth scale reading 2.6, a time of 1:59, strain at 0%, and two buttons: Ready and Release. The line under them says “Tap Ready to charge your cast”. The store description also says there is no time pressure. Both lines are on the desk; I did not run the app to see which one the session follows.
-
File the catch
A profile still opens on Common Snook, with a weight, a map name, and a range. The description says catches go into an encyclopedia and can be sold for coins, which then buy rods and bait. Free bait needs the internet because it is ad-supported. Premium bait is described as ad-free and usable offline.
The install is still on the App Store.
